Hard Reset

Per the Product Reference Guide, perform the following steps to force a hard reset for this device:

Open and remove the battery cover.
Hold down the power button on the front of the SPT 1800 terminal.
While holding down the power button, use the tip of the stylus to gently press the reset button on the back of the terminal.
Release the reset button.
Release the power button.
When a message displays on the SPT 1800 terminal screen warning that you are about to erase all the data stored on your SPT 1800 terminal, do one of the following:
- Press the upper half of either of the scroll buttons on the front panel of the SPT 1800 terminal to complete the hard reset and display the Digitizer screen.
- Press any other button to perform a soft reset.
